MONDAY EVENING
DANCING THROUGH THE AGES
~for beginners ~

Australian National University
Multipurpose Room, Sports Union

Dance classes at the ANU every Monday from 3 August to 1 November, with two weeks break between 28 Sept - 11 Oct.

From the time of Shakespeare and Moliere to Jane Austen and Dickens, from pavans and country dances to polkas and tangos!
Have fun, get some exercise, meet people and sample some of the many ways people moved together in ballrooms in the romantic past.
Experience the excitement of a galop and the dizzy pleasure of the waltz!

The skills you acquire will serve you in any dance situation- and indeed you will be able to put them to use during the semester and meet yet more young people at 3 social balls planned. No experience is necessary - just some comfortable smooth soled shoes.

Expert instruction will be offered by teachers from the Earthly Delights Historic Dance Academy, the foremost Academy in its field in Australia.

Between them, Academy director John Garden, his main teaching collaborator Melissa Coman, and other upcoming young teachers, will make joining in easy and fun, and introduce you to 400 wonderful years of dance styles.

Enrolments are made at the ANU Sports Union on campus, between 20 July through to the 2 August.
Adults $140, $125 for SRA Members
Reception (02) 6125 2273 sport@anu.edu.au
