I dreamed of making historical costumes as a teenager. Little did I dream it would ever be possible! I always thought that I was born in the wrong era, until I realised I was born at the perfect time. I have the benefits of modern technology, medicine, and being an unmarried woman past the age of 30 doesn't mean I must rely on my family to support me. I fell in love with the Jane Austen adaptations and later the books,

In real life I work in web publishing in a Commonwealth Government department.

My goal for this challenge is to at least complete undergarments and accessories.

At least one day dress and ballgown - whether these get done within the challenge time remains to be seen...

My first project is a linen chemise. The fabric is a remnant of handkerchief linen I've been hoarding for just this purpose. I'll be using the Sense & Sensibility Regency Underthings pattern.

Inspiration: Linen chemise with neck casing, lawn sleeve ruffles. American, early 19th century
