The first section of our costuming section offers a brief historical overview of some of the main characteristics of clothing in different periods. The second section lets you know all about the garments we have sewn in the past.

Whereas most other pages on this site have been presented by dancer, musician and historian John Garden, the sewing pages have been presented by seamstress, dancer and web designer Aylwen Garden.
