Overview |
|
| While this site's Dance History pages deals with all the canonical dance texts from the last 500 years and with the main chapters in the history of western European social dance, this page deals with a little known set of texts and a missing chapter in the history of dance - in the belief that even apocrypha can inform and even the spurious offer insights. The first section below offers John Garden's views on the sources to The Lost Dances of Earthly Delights. The second section offer's Henrj Nagod's overview of Bordonian History. The four sections which follow offer Nagod's commentary on the 64 dances in Jan D'Honger's Pleasures for Four Seasons (cross to the Lost Dances page for the dance instructions). |
